Country Bob’s Pickin’ Food

Good afternoon, everyone!

How is the weather where you are? Country Bob’s is headquartered in Illinois, but I live in Texas, land of the crazy weather. One day it’s hot, the next day it’s cool and then hot again. Today it’s in the 80s, yesterday the high was in the 60s.

With that being said, it is barbecue and grilling weather pretty much year round here. My husband is constantly grilling outside. He makes a mean steak, delicious grilled chicken and tasty barbecued shrimp kabobs. We love to marinate all sorts of meat in Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce and, of course, we serve plenty on the side for dipping. We also love to season our French fries with the Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt and dip them in the sauce. When we make brisket, Country Bob’s Barbeque Sauce is perfect for dressing it up.

I know that many people are already experiencing record lows and snowfall. For those folks, the thought of grilling outside right now sounds about as appetizing as a stale cracker. Never fear! You can use Country Bob’s in all sorts of dishes. How about curling up in a blanket, turning on the TV for some Monday Night Football (or your favorite movie) and nibbling on some of Country Bob’s Pickin’ Food? This recipe is easy to make and a great appetizer or food to munch on instead of popcorn.

2 cups each Corn, Wheat, Bran and Rice Chex

2 cups small pretzels

1 cup chopped nuts

½ cup (1 stick) margarine

2 tsp. Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt

¼ cup Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce

Combine the cereals, pretzels and nuts in a large bowl. Melt the margarine in a small saucepan, Blend in the Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt and Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce. Pour the margarine mixture over the cereal mixture and mix gently. Spread the mixture in a large shallow baking pan. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring gently every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Yield: 11 cups.

Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Don’t forget, for every 50 people who follow Country Bob’s on Twitter, we are giving away a Country Bob’s Gift Pack with Cookbook. Please become a Country Bob’s Facebook fan as well. We will give 10 of the same gift pack away in a random drawing. We want to hear from you, so please comment on our Facebook page, our blog posts and/or via Twitter.
