Royall Baby Backs

This is our new Royall Wood Pellet Grill, the 3000, and it can put out some smoke

Patti and I have enjoyed cooking on Traeger Wood Pellet grills for a year now. They are fine machines and we still have two of them on our patio. Until recently I believed there were none better. Then we had the opportunity to try out the Royall 3000 Wood Pellet Grill.

There is a difference. The Royall puts out a deeper, richer smoke that you can actually see in the smoke ring and taste in the food. This week we are giving our Royall 3000 a real work out to see if it lives up to its name. And it sure does!! One of the things I have learned in my years of BBQ is that there are times when no matter how big your grill is, it is not big enough.

Ribs 101

Jul 15, 2010 5:02:06 AM

ribs on the smokerEverybody is always asking us how to do ribs. People think that there must be some kind of magic or secret recipe. The problem is that most folks tend to over think BBQ. So, we ask, what is BBQ? BBQ is when you cook Low and Slow. Grilling is Hot and Fast. No matter your heat source BBQ is LOW AND SLOW. That is all there is to it. Even the toughest cut of meat can’t hold out to Low and Slow.

Good afernoon!

Is everyone planning a nice July 4th weekend? Anyone grilling up anything good? Remember, you can always check out Cooking with Ken, this blog or our recipes section for ideas. Our cookbook also features tried and true recipes and is available in the Country Bob's Online Store. May I suggest Country Bob's Hula Burgers or Country Bob's Texas Sop Recipe a la Andrew (would be tasty on brisket, grilled chicken or kabobs).

Now down to business.

History of Country Bob's - Video

Jun 26, 2010 7:00:00 PM

Good afternoon everyone! Are you having a wonderful week? We pray so! Here is a video about Country Bob's that was made when Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce was honored by Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Illinois last year. We receive a lot of questions about how Country Bob's got started and we thought it would be really nice to share the story that is told, in part, in the late Bob Edson's own words.

Mushroom Burger

May 28, 2010 5:01:15 AM

Mushroom HamburgerThis burger was an easy choice. Ken loves beef and Patti loves mushrooms and we both love cheese. Burgers just seem so all American and there are so many ways to fix them. There are tons of different ingredients to add to the ground meat, plus, many choices for the toppings. Luckily, we haven't found a combination that one of us wasn't crazy about. How about a great cheeseburger smothered with sautéed mushrooms? We like them on our steaks, so why not on our burgers with a thick layer of Swiss cheese and Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce mixed with chipotle and mayo?

Smoke it on the grill and you are going to town!
Tonight, we made it a little more "special", we made a little Chipotle Mayo using Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce.

Bacon Garlic Burger

How about a great cheeseburger smothered with bacon, garlic and onions? We put our garlic skillet on steaks or have it as a side all the time. We got to thinking it would be great on a burger, too.

Smoked it all on the grill and it was Hamburger Heaven!

Tonight, to add a little more “special”, we made a little Chipotle Mayo using Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce.

Good afternoon, friends! How is your week going? We pray it is going well. We hope the following news will make it even better.

Relevant 2010 Conference

We have a good relationship with bloggers. We appreciate that relationship very much. We have had many honest reviews of our All Purpose Sauce on lots of blogs and it has really helped us get the word out about Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce. We have also enjoyed getting to know people better via Facebook, this blog and Twitter. As Country Bob's blogger, I had the opportunity to meet with some ofthose bloggers at the recent BlissDom conference.

Recently, we heard about a new blogging conference called the Relevant Conference. This Christian blogging conference will be held Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 21-23, 2010 in Harrisburg, PA. We are happy to announce that we are one of the sponsors of this conference.
