Butterflied Smoked Sausage

Cheese please! This smoky sausage is stuffed with melty ooey gooey cheese and topped with sauteed onions.

1 package of smoked beef sausage/turkey sausage or kielbasa sausage

1 package of brioche buns

4 slices of cheese of your choice...cheddar, havarti, pepper jack or swiss and cut them in half

for 8 half slices.

1 yellow onion sliced

Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt

1 green onion chopped

Instructions


Cut sausage to bun length and then slice them down the middle but not all the way through to

butterfly them.


Sprinkle sausage with Country Bob’s seasoning salt.


Grill sausage cut side down first on medium heat grill or flat top griddle and then flip over to

brown other side.


Sauté yellow sliced onions in pan on grill or on flat top griddle.


Place cooked sausage in brioche bun and place one half slice of cheese inbetween bun and

sausage.


Top with sautéed onions, chopped green onions and your favorite Country Bob’s sauce.
