1 pound ground beef
1 serrano pepper (minced)
1/4 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Colby or jack)
1 tbsp Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt
2 sesame buns
1 cup shredded cabbage
1/4 cup Country Bob’s Original BBQ Sauce
2 tbsp Mayo
Toppings of your choice (Onion, tomato, pickles)

Directions

If making 2 burgers, take 4 balls of ground beef and flatten them into discs and pinch the sides to make a sort of bowl. On 2 of the flat beef patties, place a healthy amount of cheese in the middle of the patty along with some diced serrano peppers. Place the other patties on top of the cheese filled patties and crimp the edges sealing the cheese and serrano peppers inside.

Preheat a cast iron pan to medium high heat. Season the filled patties with Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt and cook for about 4 minutes per side. While the burger is cooking, mix shredded cabbage with Country Bob’s Original BBQ Sauce and mayo in a bowl. Set aside. (you can also toast your buns while waiting on the burger to cook)

When the burger is done, place on the bottom bun and top with the BBQ slaw. Top with your choice of toppings and the burgers are ready to serve!
