Loose meat with just the right amount of flavors. This is a truly dynamite sandwich. Add a hotdog and voilà, you’ll have the Great Sloppy Bob Dog!
1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, one turn of the pan
1.50 ground beef
2 tsp brown sugar
6 slices bacon, crisp-fried and crumbled
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp dry mustard
0.50 cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, diced or minced
1 green or red bell pepper, chopped
2 tbsp. white vinegar
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
0.25 cup water
(Optional) sliced ripe tomatoes, pickles, cheese
Prep your skillet with one turn of the pan using olive oil.
Cook the ground beef until brown and crumbly, drain. Make sure to brown the meat well, on high heat. Don’t crowd the pan. Work in batches. Don’t stir the meat until it is well browned on one side.
Note: Use a large cooking pot on the stove or a slow cooker. Combine with the onion, celery, green/red pepper, garlic and bacon. Add tomato paste, water, Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce, seasoning salt, vinegar, brown sugar and mustard. Mix well.
Cover and cook on medium heat for 1 hour. (3-4 hours in slow cooker)
Optional garnish: sliced ripe tomatoes, pickles, cheese.
