Baste: 0.50 cup Unsalted butter 1 tsp Country Bob's Seasoning Salt 1 tsp Thyme 1 tsp Dried basil 1 tsp Sage
Ceramic Turkey Stand (Optional): 12 oz Water 1 cup Unsalted butter 1 tbsp Minced garlic
Use a large bowl or food safe container to marinate the turkey with Country Bob’s marinade for 2-hours
Remove from marinade, rinse with cold water, and pat dry
Generously cover the turkey in seasoning salt.
Set your smoker for 250-275 degrees.
Use whatever smoking wood you prefer, we used apple because of its mild and sweet flavor
We used a ceramic turkey stand to add extra flavor – they are around $15 on Amazon and a great way to keep your turkey moist.
Place your turkey in the smoker and plan for around 20-30 mins per pound
Baste your turkey every hour – while doing so, check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer.
Once the internal temperature of the meat reaches 165 degrees remove the turkey and let rest for 5 minutes.
Tip: Country Bob’s All-Purpose Sauce makes for a great dipping sauce.
